Support Worker - No Experience (Training Provided)

Responsibilities:

• Work under the guidance of experienced support staff to assist clients with everyday tasks like personal care, meal preparation, and community outings.
• Learn and apply person-centred support techniques, ensuring clients’ choices and preferences are respected.
• Help maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, including tidying living spaces and following infection control procedures.
• Gradually increase your responsibilities as you gain confidence - from shadowing at first to independently handling routine support activities.
• Attend all training sessions (internal and external) to build your knowledge of disability support, NDIS policies, and job-specific skills.

Skills and Qualifications:

• No prior experience required - we provide all necessary training. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are the most important qualifications.
• Empathy, patience, and strong work ethic, with a genuine desire to help others.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and ask for help when needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours (including weekends or evenings) as you gain experience.
• Must be able to obtain relevant clearances (NDIS Worker Screening, police check, etc.) and commit to completing any mandatory training certifications (like First Aid).
