    About This Position

    Job Summary:

Join our fast-paced team as a Roster & Scheduling Coordinator, where you will ensure the right support workers are in the right place at the right time. This essential role involves planning and adjusting staff rosters to meet client needs across our disability support services. You’ll work closely with management and frontline staff to fill shifts, manage leave, and respond swiftly to last-minute changes. If you are highly organised, cool under pressure, and enjoy problem-solving in a people-focused environment, this position offers a fulfilling way to contribute to the smooth operation of NDIS services in Australia.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly rosters for support workers, matching client appointments and support requirements with staff availability.
    • Adjust schedules in response to sick leave, emergencies, or new client service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to care.
    • Communicate shift assignments and changes clearly to staff, confirming coverage and handling any questions or conflicts.
    • Liaise with service coordinators and managers to forecast staffing needs and recruit or allocate resources accordingly.
    • Keep accurate records of hours, shift changes, and ensure compliance with labour agreements or award conditions in scheduling.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Experience in workforce scheduling, rostering, or coordination, preferably in healthcare, disability support, or similar 24/7 services.
    • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, capable of juggling multiple scheduling priorities.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with staff and management professionally.
    • Proficiency in scheduling software or tools (experience with NDIS rostering systems is a plus).
    • Reliable and flexible, with an ability to participate in an on-call roster for urgent changes. Must have standard industry clearances (NDIS Worker Screening, etc.) and a strong sense of teamwork.
