In-Home Support Worker

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication reminders.
• Perform household duties including cleaning, laundry, meal planning and preparation to maintain a safe home environment.
• Provide companionship and engage in friendly conversation to reduce isolation.
• Follow tailored care plans and report any changes in clients’ health or living conditions.
• Ensure client dignity and comfort at all times, respecting their choices and cultural preferences.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Disability, or Home & Community) or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in home care, aged care, or disability support is beneficial.
• Strong housekeeping and caregiving skills with attention to detail and hygiene.
• Empathetic, trustworthy nature with excellent time management and reliability.
• Current First Aid certificate, police check, and driver’s licence (for traveling between client homes).
